Help: two ways to buy & sell

Every listing shows how the seller is offering to transact: Direct (you coordinate with the seller) or Refurbico Assured (where available, with inspection and safer checkout). You can read the seller's sale mode on the listing page.

Direct (peer-to-peer)
  • What it is: OLX-style — you chat with the seller, agree on price, and arrange pickup or delivery yourselves.
  • Refurbico's role: we provide discovery, chat, and (where live) bidding. We do not guarantee the item condition or hold your payment for a private meetup unless you explicitly use a future on-platform flow.
  • Best for: local deals, negotiable prices, and when you're comfortable inspecting in person.
Refurbico Assured
  • What it is: a structured path with inspection, clearer condition reporting, payment protection, and delivery support — starting in Pune + Mumbai for this MVP.
  • Eligibility: listings marked Assured-eligible have passed our initial rules; final availability still depends on city, category, and seller verification.
  • Best for: higher-trust purchases when you want Refurbico in the loop, not only the seller.

Chat & login

Chats require a logged-in account. After logging in, open your account menu in the header and choose Messages to see your inbox. If you ever see the login screen while already signed in, try a normal refresh — and always use the same site URL you used to log in (for example stick to localhost or 127.0.0.1, not both).

Direct chat (buyer ↔ seller) and Assured chat (with concierge) are separate threads. On an Assured listing that is eligible, you can use either thread; on a direct-only listing, only direct chat applies. Your inbox labels each thread.
